For our preliminary match cut exercise we filmed a story of a man who had to deliver a message to someone. The film starts with a man walking through a corridor and standing outside a door and typing in a code to open the door. You are shown him opening the door and from inside the room you are shown the man entering and closing the door. This is where we used the match cut technique. The man sits down on a chair next a table where you are then shown another man reading a newspaper. Dialogue is then used between the two men and reverse shots were used to show both men talking and replying back to each other. Halfway through the dialogue a shot is shown of the man giving over a message to the second man. The second man says how he has been followed and how he had not done a very good job.
We had planned out a story and drew out a storyboard for the film and had also added more shots which were made on the spot during filming. After filming we had edited the shots in Final Cut Pro and used Soundtrack and Livetype to add in titles and background music. Credits which we included were the producer, director, actors, music by and the title of the film using Livetype.
